Executive Summary

TIBCO's suite of integration products includes core enterprise service bus (ESB) features, with strengths in connection, mediation, and change and control. The vendor does support all finalized Web services standards, but not work in process Web services specifications. TIBCO approaches the ESB market as a provider of solutions for large, complex enterprises and is skeptical of the value of standalone ESB products in these scenarios. This means that TIBCO will continue to focus on providing more robust, service-oriented architecture (SOA)-based solutions for the high end of the market and eschew the standalone ESB market.
