Executive Summary

Global 360 (formerly eiStream), is a Strong Performer in the human-centric business process management suites (BPMS) for insurance market and a pure-play vendor targeting both Microsoft and J2EE shops. (This evaluation focused on the Microsoft-based product offering.) Global 360 has a large installed base and deep heritage in document imaging, but it has recently switched strategic focus to human-centric BPMS. Besides being .NET-based, the product's core strengths are a strong development model and tight business intelligence/BPMS integration for process performance management. The vendor has an impressive road map for Global 360 Enterprise BPM, including plans to embed simulation in the process designer and address usability issues by reducing the number of icons to create business process maps. To truly crack the insurance market, Global 360 must show more support for insurance standards and improve on its integration-centric BPMS capability.
