Executive Summary

IBX began in 2000 as an eMarket for businesses in Scandinavia, and it has morphed into one of the leading European providers of eProcurement, supplier networks, eSourcing, and related ePurchasing products. Historically strongest in Scandinavia, it is now expanding into Germany and other continental European countries. Its IBX eProcurement product overall had an average score for current offering, with a very good score for settlement and above-average scores for process configuration, supplier connectivity and enablement, and integration. However, its scores for services procurement, reporting, and hosted options were low, and scores for globalization were below average. It is a good choice for the European markets in which it operates, but it is not an option for North America or Asia. Strategically, it is well positioned, with a good corporate strategy, a competitive product strategy, and good financials for a company of its size.
