Italian IT Services Spending Forecast: 2006 To 2011

by Sonoko Takahashi

with Andrew Parker, Onica King

This is an excerpt

Executive Summary

Italian firms will spend €7.6 billion on IT services in 2006. At a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.4%, Italian IT services spending will grow more slowly than the European average. Nevertheless, the country's services spending will have increased to almost €10 billion by 2011. The largest spending levels will be for consulting projects, systems integration work, and infrastructure-related outsourcing. Wide-scale adoption of application outsourcing and business process outsourcing (BPO) still looks a long way off in this market.
