Executive Summary

Microsoft's BizTalk Server 2006 has been a strong player in the integration space for several years, but its business process management (BPM) features do not compare favorably with the features provided by other vendors in our evaluation of the integration-centric business process management suite (IC-BPMS) market. However, Microsoft does have a number of partner vendors that do provide strong BPM capability, and in addition, the firm has recently delivered a new release of Office 2007 that provides additional integration and BPM benefits beyond what the evaluated products offered.
