Neoris, the former IT organization of Cemex, a cement manufacturing company, is a relatively new company spun off from its parent to take advantage of the dot-com boom in 2000. Between 2000 and 2001, Neoris acquired 12 small IT services firms to cement its e-builder capability. Since that time, Neoris has made several other acquisitions to beef up its traditional IT skills competencies. Neoris did not establish its SAP practice until 2003, so its capability here is quite young. But it gained a ton of valuable experience doing its parent company's large SAP implementation. This is one of the reasons Neoris scores as well as it does in this Wave. Today, Neoris also does SAP work for external clients among which it has established a good reputation. Companies seeking SAP skills beyond staff augmentation skills should make sure that Neoris has expertise in their vertical industry and can provide account management staff experienced with external rather than internal clients.
