Executive Summary

Oracle's acquisition of Siebel adds one of the strongest software-as-a-service (SaaS) customer relationship management (CRM) products on the market to the vendor's CRM portfolio, which now includes Siebel CRM, Siebel CRM Professional Edition, Siebel CRM On Demand, E-Business Suite CRM, and PeopleSoft CRM. The Siebel CRM On Demand product has strong functionality for sales, service, marketing, and analytics and an intuitive, easy-to-use interface. The product is built on the same architecture as Siebel on-premise but does not provide as much functionality or as strong customization and integration capabilities, making it most appropriate for midmarket firms and less of a fit for large enterprise-level deployments.
