Founded in 1986 by Joseph Segel, QVC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, attributed to the Liberty Interactive Group. In terms of revenue, QVC is ranked the second largest television network in the US after CBS (according to Broadcasting & Cable 2005 revenue estimates). QVC had net sales totaling more than $7 billion in 2006, and QVC.com achieved sales of over $1 billion in 2006.
