Executive Summary
Forrester surveyed 167 supply chain decision-makers in North America to find out their current satisfaction with supply chain software and services and their plans for additional investments. We found that 41% say they will rely on their ERP vendors for supply chain solutions, compared with 43% who plan to rely on their best-of-breed vendors. Firms have also expressed a continued reliance on custom-built applications to meet their unique supply chain challenges. More than half of firms use Web portals to enable supply chain visibility and collaboration. Customers are generally satisfied with Oracle and SAP for their supply chain applications, and Accenture comes out on top as a key supply chain consulting partner.
