In Forrester's Business Technographics® June 2005 United States SMB Software And Services Benchmark Study, we surveyed 798 technology decision-makers in the US regarding their software and services purchase plans. In this survey, we questioned SMBs about where they turn for information when researching and making IT purchases. As we've seen in the past, most favor word of mouth from colleagues when evaluating solutions providers. However, these sources of information vary according to company size and use, and small businesses — compared with medium-size businesses — have come to narrow their focus to fewer information resources.
