Key elements of the product launch include a synchronized release strategy, value scenarios, lower entry-point pricing, deeper Business Objects integration, and usability enhancements. Available May 21, 2009, SAP Business Suite 7 provides another incentive for customers to upgrade and to expand their footprint of SAP solutions. However, business process and applications professionals must determine if new features and value scenarios create a compelling enough business case for upgrades or new module purchases during an economic downturn. Most SAP customers will remain focused on maintaining and upgrading the core enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, leaving the broader SAP Business Suite 7 offering to consider another day.
