Executive Summary

Sunbelt Software's CounterSpy Enterprise is a standalone antispyware solution. It is highly scalable, as each CounterSpy server can support approximately 1,500 nodes, and the management console can support an unlimited number of servers. The product pulls information from Active Directory and Network Neighborhood, allowing administrators to create groups and policies based on existing directory structures. However, policy creation and reporting can only be done on a per-server basis — an organization with multiple CounterSpy servers cannot create policies or report on the agents in aggregate. As a result, we feel Sunbelt is a good fit for smaller companies with primarily fixed-location users and desktops.
