The increasing demand for organizational process improvement continues to drive high levels of interest in combined enterprise application integration (EAI), business-to-business integration (B2Bi), and business process management (BPM) integration suites. Forrester has assessed the current state of the integration suite market and found that traditional integration software leaders, such as TIBCO Software, IBM, webMethods, and SeeBeyond, continue to provide leading-edge functionality — but several competitors are nipping at their heels. Of these, Oracle and SAP are among the more notable, as they signify two important shifts in the market: the merging of applications and infrastructure into "applistructure" suites, and the growing dominance of large application platform vendors in shaping the evolution of the standards and technology innovations that are among the more significant drivers of the future of this market.
