In January 2005, Forrester surveyed 55 North American and European IT decision-makers in large enterprises about their planned Web content management (WCM) usage. An overwhelming majority of firms plan to increase their Web content management deployments to address new needs, yet more than one-third are dissatisfied with their current implementations, and fewer are planning new deployments with their existing vendors. Vendor market share is up for grabs as product selection will be based less on established relationships and more on Web content production and delivery capabilities.
