Brad leads Forrester's Technology Industry research organization, which helps technology industry professionals strategize, plan, promote, and go to market. Brad is responsible for a research agenda that illuminates strategic opportunities and risks, market demand and competitive dynamics, marketing and sales best practices, smart organizational strategies, and the use of emerging technology to improve business results for technology vendors. Brad's organization focuses particularly on serving strategy, marketing, analyst relations, and market research leaders.
Brad has been with Forrester for more than six years, building and leading research organizations and Forrester's business in the government and healthcare markets. He is an established expert, frequent speaker, and widely quoted analyst on the health insurance, provider, pharmaceutical, and device markets and the technology vendors that serve them.
Brad's professional experience before coming to Forrester was wide-ranging. While a vice president at UnitedHealthcare, he led product development and provider contracting groups and launched United's Options PPO product. At Mobil Oil, Brad engineered a healthcare benefits overhaul, which resulted in two years of premium rebates to Mobil's employees. He also led marketing and sales at a startup provider of eCommerce pharmacy systems for healthcare organizations.
Brad has also worked in healthcare delivery, developing marketing, operations, and human resource processes for a startup chain of urgent-care centers and providing business management services for group medical practices in Boston.
An experienced public speaker about the impact of technology on healthcare and consumers, Brad has spoken to numerous organizations in recent years, including the annual Institute meeting of the America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the World Healthcare Congress, the National Managed Healthcare Congress (NMHCC), and Convergence — The Life Sciences Leaders Forum. He has been quoted regularly in the media, including on Marketplace and CNBC, as well as in The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times.
Brad holds a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College, where he developed a case study for the Dartmouth Medical School curriculum. He earned his M.B.A. degree from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, winning the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence.
