Laurence serves Consumer Product Strategy professionals. Her research deals with how innovation and the rise of digital entertainment influence consumers' behavior and market players' midterm development strategies. Laurence has a specific interest in TV issues. Her research agenda includes topics like HDTV, on-demand TV consumption, interactive TV, IPTV, over-the-top VOD and TV services, "anywhere TV," and also targeted TV advertising, Blu-Ray, or consumer device preferences for digital entertainment activities.
Before joining Forrester, Laurence was a European digital home analyst at JupiterResearch. Within the service, she analyzed the potential for emerging networked home entertainment devices that enable new business models for operators, consumer electronics manufacturers, TV channels, film studios, radio stations, and game publishers. Previously, Laurence was a research director at French consultancy IDATE, where she developed flagship reports on the future of TV and online video and managed customer research projects. Earlier in her career, she acquired expertise as a media and telecommunications consultant at BIPE Conseil and analyzed TV markets for Philips Consumer Electronics France. At the European Commission, she participated in launching discussions on TV encryption systems with the DVB consortium.
Laurence holds a post-graduate professional diploma (magistère) in economics from Aix Marseille II University in France.
