Lewis comes to Forrester with 18 years of experience as a CIO, 5 years as a chief human resources officer, and 10 years as a management consultant with billion-dollar industries in Canada and the US that span government, airline, utility, and commercial real estate development.Most recently, as a sole management consulting practitioner, Lewis was engaged in several assignments in the information technology organization of the Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), a department of the Government of Canada with more than 12,000 employees and an annual budget of $1.8 billion. Lewis developed the mandate and organization structure for PWGSC's newly created departmental CIO function. Lewis also managed the development of the functional organization and governance model for the newly created shared services and common infrastructure organization, the Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB). With almost 2,000 employees and an annual operating budget of more than $400 million, the ITSB shared services and common infrastructure initiatives are expected to generate governmentwide cost savings of $1 billion per year over the next 10 years.
Lewis graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and statistics and obtained a certificate in mathematical statistics from McGill University in Montreal. He is based in Ottawa, Canada.
