Michelle serves Consumer Product Strategy professionals and leads a team that helps these professionals in the telecom, retail, financial services, consumer devices, and travel industries optimize product, sales, and service strategies across channels. Michelle's current research focuses on mobile telecom product strategies.Prior to this position, Michelle spent six years at Forrester researching the European mobile telecom industry. She continues to regularly advise mobile operators on strategic issues like mobile commerce, 3G mobile networks and services, and enterprise mobility. She also gives strategic advice to mobile telecom vendors and to firms looking to launch mobile services.
Prior to becoming a Forrester analyst, Michelle worked at Vodafone as a product development manager. In this role, she was responsible for the definition and development of the mobile commerce strategy for the company. She also worked with Vodafone's eCommerce director in formulating the company's eCommerce strategy. Prior to her career in the mobile telecom industry, Michelle worked as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting and carried out interim management projects for Shell and the city of Bridgeport, Conn.Michelle's research and analysis have been widely cited in publications including BusinessWeek, Financial Times, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
Michelle's formal education includes an M.B.A. from Maastricht University (the Netherlands) and Fairfield University (US) from which she graduated with highest honors. She also obtained a postgraduate degree in eCommerce at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam (the Netherlands).
