Alex is a senior consultant, helping B2C and B2B brands evolve to compete in digital and customer experience. In partnership with a range of subject matter experts at Forrester, Alex creates solutions to client challenges in consumer marketing, strategy, orchestration, transformation, technology, and governance. With broad experience in CX and digital and social marketing, as well as expertise in social media analytics, Alex applies the lens of customer experience and value creation to consulting projects using a data- and insights-driven approach.  

His specialties include customer journey mapping, digital and social marketing, social media management solutions (SMMS), CRM integration, vendor evaluation, CX measurement, customer insights, and personalization.

Previous Work Experience

Alex’s professional background spans agency, client services, and corporate leadership experience. Prior to Forrester, Alex was Marriott International’s global director of marketing and social media analytics. A member of Marriott’s customer experience organization, Alex cocreated an enterprise social media integration and transformation strategy. Alex joined Marriott during the company’s 2016 merger with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he was a brand intelligence manager at the time. In that role, he focused on delivering customer insights to guide enterprise marketing strategy for Starwood’s 10 global brands and award-winning loyalty program, SPG. 

Before entering the hospitality industry, Alex was an analytics manager at W2O Group, a full-service marketing and analytics firm. He served Fortune 500 clients from a variety of verticals, including technology, telecommunications, CPG, entertainment, finance, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and government.

Education

Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and media and communications from Tufts University.
