Business intelligence (BI) is often defined as processes and technologies to manage business performance, with the ultimate goal of making more informed decisions based on real data, not hunches. But what about managing the performance of the BI environment itself? Enterprises still rely largely on intuition and qualitative hearsay assessments of business users' level of satisfaction with BI applications and tools. Unfortunately, most off-the-shelf tools don't quantitatively measure BI performance.
