Previous Work Experience

Guannan has held a variety of roles in the software and internet industries. Prior to joining Forrester, he was an AI consultant serving venture capital firms and enterprises in traditional industries. He was involved in deal sourcing and due diligence from technology and product perspectives. He also built strategies and pilot solutions for clients to leverage AI technologies in the finance, medical, and transportation industries. Prior to that, he was a product manager at Jide Technology, building a computer operating system that is compatible with Android mobile apps on x86 and ARM architectures for PCs, tablets, and laptops. He explored Android PC use cases in the global consumer market and enterprise market in the education and government sectors. Guannan also served as a product manager for Yuanfudao, a leading online course platform for primary and secondary school students in China. He designed and launched the mobile clients in 2015, which now have a base of over a million paying users.

Education

Guannan earned an MS in electronic and electrical engineering from the University of Missouri, where his thesis and publications mainly focused on computer vision, e-health, and robotics. Guannan received a dual BS degree in electronic and electrical engineering from the University of Missouri and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He also holds a BA in finance from UESTC.
