    Whitney Bouck is SVP, Global Marketing, where she is responsible for worldwide marketing, including product marketing, analyst relations, public relations, and brand strategy. As General Manager, Enterprise, Whitney also drives growth strategy for Box in the enterprise market across sales, marketing, product, and services. She spent 15 years with Documentum and then EMC (via acquisition) and held a variety of positions, including Worldwide Vice President of Product Marketing, General Manager of two of the organization’s most important product lines, and most recently as Chief Marketing Officer of the Information Intelligence Group at EMC. Previously, Whitney had a variety of technology and leadership roles at Sybase and Oracle.

    Her most recent position prior to Box was as Chief Marketing Officer for the Information Intelligence Group, a division of EMC. In this role, she was responsible for the division’s global marketing strategy, branding, thought leadership, product marketing, and lead generation for the division’s products and solutions, including EMC Documentum, EMC Captiva, and EMC SourceOne. Other aspects of Whitney’s leadership include social media and community marketing, competitive intelligence, field enablement, pricing, and marketing communications.

    Whitney joined EMC via its acquisition of Documentum in 2003. In 2004, she was appointed Vice President of Strategic Marketing for EMC Software Group, which included solutions for content management, back-up, archiving, recovery, and resource management. In this role, she heavily influenced the changing reputation of EMC from a hardware storage company to an information management company.

    During the eight years she spent at Documentum prior to the acquisition, she held a variety of technical and marketing management positions. From 2002 to 2004, she served as Vice President and General Manager of the electronic document management and Web content management businesses, where she managed a worldwide team of engineers, product managers, and product marketing managers responsible for nearly half of Documentum’s license revenues. From 1999 to 2002, she was Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing.

    Prior to Documentum, Whitney had a long career in the relational database market that included various product marketing, engineering, and other technical positions at Sybase and Oracle.

    Whitney was a recipient of the Silicon Valley Women of Influence award in 2009 and the Top 40 Under 40 award in 2003. She is a frequent keynote speaker at numerous industry tradeshows and conferences.

    Whitney also served on the board of directors for AIIM International from 2006 to 2010 and is a member of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives as well as Women in Technology International (WITI). She was an executive sponsor of the Women’s Leadership Forum at EMC for two years and was a participant of the 2010 Leadership in the Fast Lane at EMC. Whitney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, politics, and economics from Claremont McKenna College.
