Harinder Singh’s journey as Global Director of Data at Anheuser-Busch InBev (“AB InBev”) started in 2017. His mandate was to build a global data culture for a global organization comprised of over 500 brands sold in more than 100 countries. The 3-year journey of understanding the company’s needs, creating the strategy, building the team, and then executing the plan had an interesting twist: 2020 was the year for executing the plan but in 2020 While executing the plan, along came a global pandemic and the world changed rather drastically. In this session we’ll hear about the best practices for building a data culture from a well-seasoned CDO data executive, plus how he was able to pivot when the rules changed.
