Retail has been one of the hardest hit sectors during the first few weeks of the pandemic, as countless retailers — both big and small — have been forced to close their doors until further notice.
Many of the large national chains are better positioned to survive — they may have cash reserves or access to lines of credit small businesses don’t have — but even they are struggling, especially those with heavy mall or urban penetration.
Retailers should rethink omnichannel and adapt to the ever-changing needs of their customers.
