Five weeks have passed since Forrester’s Q1 2020 Singapore PandemicEX Survey. The results from the second survey (April 29 to May 1) give insights into the psychological state of employees as the government is about to ease some of the lockdown measures (“circuit breaker”). Singapore employees are split: Some can’t wait to go back to work, and others prefer to stay home for the time being. Trust is at a premium, and firms’ CEOs and direct managers need to step up and communicate to employees to assuage their fears and give them a purpose.
