Healthcare leaders must iron out where healthcare organizations (HCOs) and users will derive the most value from 5G. Despite prominent use cases, like virtual care and security, for 5G-enabled applications, global mobility decision-makers anticipate largely diffused use cases for their firms. However, the appetite for 5G investments remains strong among HCOs. Although HCOs must fend off exponential increases in cyberattacks, nontrivial ransomware payouts, and malevolent actors, security monitoring just edges out other use cases, like augmented reality and real-time video sharing. This report provides a snapshot of Forrester's data on 5G use cases in healthcare.
