The Balanced Scorecard is built around four dimensions that have been adjusted for use in information technology: the value perspective, the user orientation perspective, the operational excellence perspective, and the future orientation perspective. In this adaptation of the BSC for I&O, each perspective has two business objectives associated with it, and each objective can be measured with many different metrics.
