In the age of software-powered digital disruption, APIs are important for fostering innovation, and organizations need developers who use them to knit together business ecosystems. AD&D pros at large enterprises commonly ask Forrester what their peers are doing with open web APIs. So we examined each Fortune 500 and Global 100 firm's web presence to find developer sites and open web API programs. This report tells what we found, which sectors focus most on open Web APIs, and what motivates these firms to adopt open Web APIs.
