Microservices show great promise for fostering business agility. The biggest challenge is skills, specifically those related to scaling microservice delivery across teams of mainstream developers. To do so, organizations must abandon patchwork solution design in favor of holistic digital business design and software architecture for innovation. This report uses data from Forrester’s annual developer survey to show application development and delivery pros how success with microservices results from developer-architect collaboration around the right patterns and design models.
