Public cloud platforms are a foundation for applications that win, serve, and retain customers. The four largest enterprise software providers did relatively little to drive adoption of cloud platforms; only Microsoft is both a strategic enterprise vendor and a cloud leader. But here come the other three of the Big Four; IBM, Oracle, and SAP at last have credible public cloud platform strategies and are committed to cloud business models. This report helps application development and delivery (AD&D) leaders assess the positions and potential of the Big 4 as enterprise cloud platform providers.
