Summary

Forrester recently attended HP's annual Industry Analyst Summit in Boston. We heard presentations from and met privately with HP executives and business unit leaders, including Meg Whitman, George Kadifa, Mike Nefkens, Bill Veghte, Martin Fink, and Dion Weisler. In this brief, we evaluate their message that HP has: 1) turned the corner on its financial challenges; 2) adopted a more customer-oriented philosophy; and 3) is moving quickly to consolidate its vast portfolio of hardware, software, services, and devices to offer customers better solutions for a "new style of IT." We also offer CIOs recommendations across the four HP business units.
