The third annual Internet of Things World Forum (IoTWF) took place in Dubai in early December 2015. This year's event went beyond discussions of the devices and their connectivity to explore how IoT can help address larger societal issues through smart-city initiatives. Urbanization, shifting demographics, and climate change drive city leaders to seek pragmatic solutions. This report gives a brief overview of the key messages and findings from the event to help application development and delivery (AD&D) professionals stay on top of what's hot in IoT for smart cities.
