Traversing the mobile app dev technology landscape is challenging — particularly in light of different mobile development approaches, the range of infrastructure capabilities, and the development skills that different solutions require. Many up-and-coming vendors and new product investments by traditional enterprise ISVs add to the complexity that application development and delivery (AD&D) pros face in selecting the right solutions. This report provides an overview of the different tools and technology available and best practices for selecting best-fit solutions. This is an update of a previously published report; we are now revising it to reflect continued changes to the tools and solutions market for mobile development technologies.
