Using offshore resources to deliver business technology (BT) services has entered a new phase in which clients ask what really belongs offshore. Using domestic resources in applications outsourcing delivery is rising in profile, both from the perspective of specific domestic suppliers as well as growing domestic capabilities of the leading global and India-centric firms. The rise in popularity of these resources reflects the changing nature of development and the shifting economics of global delivery. Domestic sourcing appears on an upward trajectory as firms tilt their models toward higher on-site delivery.
