As cloud platforms proliferate, protecting data, avoiding breaches, and ensuring full insight in and across cloud platforms are becoming key priorities. In this document, we highlight one of the emerging cloud security areas, which we are calling cloud identity governance (CIG). CIG solutions help S&R professionals automatically and continuously discover identities, fully map them out, and control them and their access rights in multiple cloud environments. This report will help S&R professionals to manage their cloud environments through mapping, discovering identities, and controlling access rights.
