Summary

Forrester's security and risk (S&R) team fields hundreds of inquiries every month. We often gauge the interest in various topics and plan our future research agenda based on this barometer. Many of our clients also frequently ask, "What are my peers doing?" So as we sift through the data for the four quarters of 2010, we're also sharing some of the raw data with you. Of the 1,553 inquiries we fielded during this period, we found that most prevalent were inquiries related to identity and fraud (26%); governance, risk, and compliance (22%); and data and client/mobile device security (20%). Throughout 2010, we also heard repeatedly from our clients that the increasing focus on oversight and governance, coupled with the explosion of social and mobile device use, was forcing them to fundamentally change their existing approach to security.
