Biometrics has expanded well beyond fingerprint scanning with new use cases leveraging a variety of modalities such as facial and voice recognition that can improve user experience and enhance or replace existing authentication approaches to reduce fraud. However, regulatory and privacy concerns are a potential barrier to broader biometric deployments. This report helps security and risk (S&R) pros to understand the technologies, regulatory environment, and privacy implications in order to launch a successful and compliant biometric deployment.
