SOA Product Adoption: SOA Management Solutions Provide The Strongest Benefit

Although Many Buy An ESB First, More Buy SOA Management In The Long Run

Why Read This Report

Although enterprise service bus (ESB) products are an early focus for purchase by service-oriented architecture (SOA) users, SOA management products have more-sustained buying focus and also correlate more strongly with SOA satisfaction. But beyond the products, there's something more important: the governance practices you adopt with SOA, which do the most to ensure satisfaction. Although SOA specialty products — ESBs, SOA management, SOA appliances, and SOA service life-cycle management (including registry-repository) — can help with SOA success, Forrester cautions SOA users to buy only based on demonstrated SOA need, not SOA theory.
