Summary

Forrester's Information & Knowledge Management Council brings together senior information and knowledge management (I&KM) executives for peer networking and the exchange of experiences and best practices. At a recent Council meeting in London, we asked executives from six organizations to list the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for their efforts to advance toward an Information Workplace. We supplemented the results with SWOT analysis from two additional companies. The prevailing themes: technology innovations, the recession, new integration standards, and corporate cultures are converging to push Information Workplace strategies forward, albeit slowly.
