In January 2009, Forrester identified an evolution in the social media technology market: Social media monitoring tools grew into a more advanced technology and analytics infrastructure — listening platforms. Now, nearly two years later, the market continues its rapid development. But, due to the large and fragmented landscape, CI professionals struggle to find the platform best suited for their needs.
