Summary

European online consumers who have bought online engage in social media more than average: Approximately half are Spectators who consume content such as blogs and reviews, and more than one-fifth are Critics, the type of consumers who post their own ratings and reviews of products. Interactive marketers can build brand awareness and increase sales by listening to what these users are saying online and by energizing them to spread word of mouth about brands and products.
