Infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals shouldn't judge North American cloud adoption by the US marketplace alone. Canadian cloud adoption is strong and gaining momentum with the entrance of the cloud giants over the past few years. Their presence is concentrated in Eastern Canada, leaving Western Canada challenged with significant latency to access these facilities while still meeting difficult compliance regulations. This report covers current cloud adoption rates, defines challenges faced by Western provinces, and highlights some of the most innovative cloud use cases in Canada.
