Just 26% of US online adults have used an in-game currency in the past three months, according to Forrester’s September 2022 Consumer Energy Index And Retail Pulse Survey. Those online adults spend an average of $24 per month on virtual goods or accessories in online virtual gaming or entertainment platforms. However, the median spend is $15 per month, indicating that a small percentage of outliers skew the average spend higher. This data snapshot shows US online adults’ monthly spend on virtual goods or accessories.
