Electronic health records (EHRs) were the No. 1 area for increased healthcare investment in 2019, but the intensity of providers’ frustration with EHRs has reached a tipping point. Continually improving provider EHR experiences should be a key strategic priority, as they directly affect both clinical and financial outcomes. Empower cross-functional teams to reverse downward-trending satisfaction scores, remove red tape from the optimization process, and foster goodwill among providers.
