Applying The Forrester Wave™: Private Cloud Solutions, Q4 2013

In November 2013, we published our private cloud solutions Forrester Wave evaluation, where we used 61 criteria to evaluate 10 private cloud solutions vendors. The findings showed how well each vendor fulfilled the breadth and depth of our criteria and where each stood out to help infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals select the most full-featured private cloud solution. In this report, we apply the findings of our private cloud solutions Forrester Wave evaluation to four different scenarios, first introduced in our "Four Common Private Cloud Strategies" Forrester report. We customize the findings of the initial research to test how vendors ASG Software Solutions, BMC Software, CA Technologies, Cisco Systems, Citrix Systems, Eucalyptus Systems, HP, IBM, Microsoft, and VMware perform in different segments of the private cloud solutions market. This report details each scenario and how the vendors perform under new parameters.
