Application programming interfaces (APIs) are critically important for application development and delivery (AD&D) teams at banks, but standardized banking APIs are still a long way off. This brief analyzes what the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) has delivered over the past two years, what is still missing, and what the current state of affairs means for AD&D decision-makers.
