OpenStack is a rapidly evolving open source cloud platform that has become a popular choice for private cloud in China. Local firms have successfully adopted the platform and an ecosystem of technology vendors and individual contributors is developing. Infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals in China who are focusing on developing their business technology agenda to help their firms win, serve, and retain customers should seriously consider a planned, pragmatic rollout of OpenStack.
