Cloud services give infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals flexible new options. They also pose new challenges — such as network latency, network availability, and application assurance — which can result in adoption hurdles, especially in Asian markets. In October 2014, Tata Communications launched IZO, its cluster of global enterprise WAN and cloud enablement services that enables deterministic routing, provides a predictable hybrid cloud experience, and helps mitigate network connectivity issues. This brief summarizes our main observations about IZO and describes how I&O pros can use the service to support the business technology agenda.
