Investing in individual technologies for an insights-driven business (IDB), such as data fabric, business intelligence (BI), and analytics, demonstrates tangible business benefits and significant ROI. However, it's not practical to build a business case for financing investments in all people, process, data, and technology capabilities necessary to improve your IDB maturity — nor do such business cases exist. CIOs and other execs should methodically build the case to improve maturity in each capability based on best-available indicators of both top- and bottom-line benefits.
