We work with many companies seeking to build more structured and effective sourcing and vendor management organizations (SVMOs), but they often struggle to start the implementation. Given the broad range of SVM activities, it is often difficult to understand where to start and how to build the SVMO over time. Implementing an SVMO that delivers value right from the start requires a solid understanding of IT and business priorities, robust planning, and a programmatic approach to ensure long-term benefits.
